Personal Statement: I believe in the natural process of labor and birth. Giving birth provides women an opportunity for self-discovery and to strengthen the couples bond. Women remember their children's births for the rest of their lives. I strive to help make that memory a beautiful one and a source of strength for each woman and each couple. I have been a certified childbirth educator since 2003 after having been inspired by the beautiful, empowering births of my own children. My desire to support women and couples through this transforming process naturally grew into providing doula support. I have been providing birth and postpartum doula support since 2005 with the same philosophy that honors their experience and individuality. I am committed to educating women and couples about their options for gentle birth, helping them build trust in the natural process & providing nurturing doula support. With these ideals I have supported over 150 women and their partners.

Personal Statement: After my many roles involving moms and babies, I am thrilled to be a postpartum doula. For 15 years I ran the Prenatal and Postpartum exercise classes at a YMCA. During that time I also started my own cotton diapering business, sharing information about saving money and washing diapers at home with the local community and beyond.
There are many new parents that don't have the luxury of local family members to help them adjust to the new role of parenthood.
Allow me to come to your home and provide coaching, nourishment and confidence for this wonderful transition in your life.

Personal Statement:  Nurturing mothers and nurturing families is my love.  It is my privilege to help new parents find their style and to feel confident in their new role, whether their first or fourth child.  Throughout labor, birth and postpartum, I mother the mother and support the family.
As a postpartum doula, I anticipate the families’ needs and adjust with each day.  I am CPR certified for infant through adult.  I am the mother of three terrific kids and that experience brought me to this field in 2002.  I volunteer with DONA International, Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity, Families First Rhode Island and my children’s schools.  I maintain professional memberships with DONA International, International Childbirth Educators Association (ICEA) and the American Association of Birth Centers and the Rhode Island Birth Network.  I am the co-founder of Doulas of Rhode Island. I wish you all the best for a beautiful birth!

Personal Statement: Shortly after the birth of my daughter, I was called to the work of a doula. I became fascinated and amazed at the birth process and the strength that lies within each of us. I decided to change my career path and assist laboring women, to give the power back to them and empower them to make the choices that are right for them and their families.
Every birth is different and beautiful. I thank each and every one of my clients (past and future) for allowing me in their intimate circle and for the trust we are building.

Personal Statement: After the birth of my son in 2007, I needed to stay with my mother away from my home for 4 weeks. Without the support of my husband, family and friends, it would have been very difficult. I began to think of other new mothers who might not have had the birth they had dreamed of and what they would do without a support system. This experience lead me to this wonderful field. I love assisting and nurturing new mothers and partners with one of the most rewarding journeys they'll ever have which is the beginning of their new family. Along this journey my goal is to guide them gently in the direction they chose to go.
