Spinning Babies 1-Day Workshop

Rhode Island Area Birth Workers! This training is for you!

Presented by Doulas of Rhode Island and BirthPro Doula Training & Family Education, hosted at Women and Infants Hospital Auditorium. This workshop is ideal for nurses, midwives, nurse practitioners, doulas, childbirth educators, OBs, family medicine physicians and other perinatal care providers.

This hands-on, in-person training is led by Emma Moreland, CPM, Spinning Babies® Approved Trainer and Aware Practitioner Instructor. Emma brings deep clinical experience and a grounded, consent-centered approach to fetal positioning and physiological birth support.

What Participants Will Learn:
Spinning Babies® Three Principles, Three Balances, and Pelvic Levels Solutions offer a complete system of birth preparation and labor ease using fetal positioning. Participants will leave with practical skills to:
~ Support comfort in pregnancy and ease in labor
~ Improve fetal position without manipulation of the fetus
~ Identify signs of labor dystocia earlier and apply gentle, body-based techniques
~ Reduce reliance on force and lower cesarean risk

Workshop Details:
** Each day is a standalone full-day workshop — attendees may register for one or both days.

Dates: Saturday, September 26 or Sunday, September 27, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EDT each day
Location: Women and Infants Hospital Auditorium, 101 Dudley Street, Providence, RI

Continuing Education: 7 ANCC contact hours per day | CME credit (AAFP, pending)

Cost: $275 per day

What to Bring
Comfortable, moveable clothing (no jeans or buckles). Pillows/bolsters, yoga mat, peanut or exercise ball, and a doll and pelvis model are helpful, but optional.
The WIH cafeteria is on site; no meals are provided.
